Frequently Asked Questions:
How does it work?
During the treatment, BLAZE uses low-level (cold) laser technology to painlessly melt fat within the fat cells. The fat is released through pores created in the adipose cells and is then processed naturally through the lymphatic system. The process is similar to exercise. When a person exercises, triglycerides are released from the fat cells. The more exercise, the smaller the fat cells (adipocytes) become. BLAZE Body Contouring works in much the same fashion by drawing the triglycerides from the fat cells. This results in millions of fat cells becoming smaller so inches are reduced off the waist, hips, thighs, and other treated areas. The fat cells are not injured in any way by this process, but are merely shrunk in size.
When BLAZE Body Contouring is used in conjunction with our Whole Body Vibration unit, several positive things happen to the body:
– The lymphatic system drains 300 to 400 percent faster than normal, helping drain the fat melted away during the treatment.
– Circulation is increased.
– Bone density increases with each use.
BLAZE Body Contouring along with following the recommended guidelines for success, averages a loss of 2 total inches per treatment (abdominally). The results may vary depending on the build of an individual and how much fat is in the desired area.
The most noticeable aspect of the BLAZE treatment is inch loss and increased energy. An average 20-minute treatment results in a pure body contouring fat loss of approximately 40 to 60 grams, depending on your metabolic rate, and a 10-minute Whole Body Vibration will burn in excess of 140 calories.
What is a treatment like?
You can expect 20 minutes to relax, read, or do absolutely nothing. In contrast to other weight procedures, the BLAZE treatment is completely painless. At each treatment you will be met by our technician who will position the laser at the desired areas of the body. Post-treatment measurements are followed by 10 minutes of exercising on our Whole Body Vibration Machines. After you are done you can get back to your normal activities immediately with absolutely no downtime, no pain, no swelling or any discomfort. The process has no side effects, with the exception of a welcomed energy boost!
Is there any downtime?
Absolutely ZERO downtime. During the treatment you will feel no discomfort, no anesthesia will be used and you can assume normal activities immediately following each treatment.
Any other benefits?
Is it permanent?
Results from BLAZE Body Contouring are as permanent as if you exercised the inches away. However, you must continue with exercise and a healthy diet to maintain your loss, as with any other health modification program.
By maintaining a healthy diet and exercise you can expect to maintain long-term results. BLAZE Body Contouring is especially ideal for 2 types of people: those that are already following a healthy diet and lifestyle and want to remove localized pockets of fat or lower body fat OR those who want to use BLAZE Body Contouring and the recommended lifestyle protocol to “jump start” their slimming efforts as motivation for maintaining a healthier and slimmer lifestyle.
How is it different than liposuction?
Liposuction is an invasive procedure that removes the entire area of fat cells from deposits beneath the skin using a hollow stainless steel tube (called a cannula) with the assistance of a powerful vacuum. Liposuction can be accomplished either with the use of general anesthesia, or with IV sedation, or totally by local anesthesia. In contrast, BLAZE Body Contouring is a 100% non-invasive treatment that uses a low level laser applied externally to stimulate the fat cell and emulsify and release fat. There is no use of anesthesia, nor any pain, gels, creams, numbing agents, needles, and no downtime.
How is Blaze Body Contouring different from other “non-invasive” body slimming techniques?
BLAZE Body Contouring uses technology that is completely safe and effective while not causing any pain or discomfort, and still being completely non-invasive.
Other non-invasive treatments can be very painful and uncomfortable for the patient, with treated areas being extremely limited in use, for prolonged periods of down time.
BLAZE Body Contouring is considered a safe alternative to invasive procedures such as Smart Lipo, tumescent liposuction and lipodissolve and other non-invasive devices like the SculpSure,Vaser, Venus Freeze, Accent, VelaShape, and Thermage, which may cause pain or discomfort. BLAZE Body Contouring treatments are 100% non-invasive and cause no bruising, scarring and zero downtime. During the treatment you will feel no discomfort, no anesthesia will be used and you can assume normal activities immediately following each treatment.
Are there any limitations to what I can do during the treatment periods?
No. During the 2 week treatment period you can continue your normal activities. It is strongly recommended that you commit to and follow the treatment protocol: stay hydrated (8-10 glasses of water a day), continue to eat healthy and exercise (walk at least 30 minutes a day) and abstain from alcohol and caffeine. Alcohol and caffeine interfere with the lymphatic process to remove fat and metabolize it which can decrease your results.
Is it safe if I have any medical conditions?
Yes, with two exceptions. If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, BLAZE Body Contouring should not be performed. Additionally, if you have a pacemaker, this treatment may not be for you. There are no known detrimental risks, but potential unknown risks may exist. BLAZE may not be as effective on patients with diabetes or thyroid disorders where the metabolic system is potentially impaired.
How soon after pregnancy can I do it?
It is recommended that you wait until after your last postpartum visit with your doctor (usually 6 weeks after birth) to begin Blaze Body Contouring. It is not recommended if you are breast feeding.
How long does it take to begin seeing results?
Is everyone a good candidate for BLAZE Body Contouring?
Most are good candidates. Even people who are not overweight can lose inches. Be sure to discuss your health background with your physician and ask any questions about your particular areas of concern.
